The Bone People
My 2024 exhibition at the Belconnen Arts Centre
The Bone People
The Bone People exhibition was located in the Window Gallery
This exhibition operated as a diorama featuring a herd of imaginary animals - some with riders. The Bone family were onlookers - either seated or standing on the side. The handmade forms provided an intimate experience - serving as a portal into an alternative world, where one can interact with exotic marvels and improbable anatomy.
Giant Insects were also featured....Honey Ant, Spiders and Mosquitos
The Bone People and their friends booklet is available by contacting me
The sculptures are made from sourced bones from Ulladulla Harbour, air-dried clay, wire and textiles. The bones have been sterilised and bleached. Additional items can include glass eyes, textiles, feathers and buttons.
